Zorica Kalezić
Vice-Governor, Central Bank of Montenegro
Vice-Governor Zorica Kalezić at the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) is responsible for the Payment Systems Department, Financial and Banking Operations Department, Directorate for Resolution of Credit Institutions, and the Cash Management Department.
She serves as President of the National Committee for Payment Systems of Montenegro, National SEPA Coordinator for Montenegro, and Coordinator of the TIPS Clone Project for Montenegro, leading the strategic modernisation of the national payments infrastructure and Montenegro’s integration into the European payments ecosystem.
Ms. Kalezić is also the Head of the Negotiating Working Group for Chapter 17 – Economic and Monetary Union in Montenegro’s EU accession negotiations, coordinating the country’s strategic alignment with the EU acquis in the field of economic and monetary policy and formal euro adoption preparations.
In her capacity as Vice-Governor of the CBCG, Ms. Kalezić is focused on bringing together diverse fintech stakeholders in a collaborative manner to build a vibrant and progressive fintech ecosystem that enables innovation and entrepreneurship in the financial system, positioning Montenegro as a preferred international fintech hub and a gateway to the region and beyond.
Vice-Governor Kalezić holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Economics from Staffordshire University, United Kingdom.
