Managing Partner at Catalyst Romania Venture Capital Fund, serial entrepreneur and business-angel with successful investments in Central and Eastern Europe, Marius Ghenea ranks in fortune Romanian survey Forbes. He is co-founder of VentureConnect , a regional matchmaking platform for tech start-up entrepreneurs and early-stage investors and was involved in many educational activities, as an Entrepreneurship, Innovation and New Business Ventures Professor in Maastricht School of Management EMBA program. He was also co-organizer of Schoolforstartups Romania, the first SE European entrepreneurship school and is one of the founders of the mini-MBA programme for entrepreneurs and managers BusinessDrive. He is known as one of the permanent guests of the show Arena Leilor (the Romanian Dragon’s Den).

Marius is also the author of “Entrepreneurship. The Path from Ideas to Opportunities and success in business”, the first Romanian book on entrepreneurship. He has been over the years a Board Member in dozens of companies from small startup businesses to large companies and corporations and has led successful investment and exit processes with the portfolios he has managed.
