Keynote From the Swedish Ambassador

H.E. Charlotte Sammelin, Ambassador of Sweden to the Republic of Serbia and to Montenegro, will set the tone for this year’s Finticipate with a keynote address.

With extensive experience in international relations, trade policy, and European affairs, H.E. Sammelin has been serving in this role since 2024.

Prior to this, she was Head of the Department for International Trade and the EU Single Market at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, following her role as Ambassador of Sweden to Greece from 2017 to 2021. Her distinguished career also includes senior advisory roles within the European Council and the European Commission, where she worked on foreign policy, trade, and regional cooperation, including support to Ukraine and engagement with the Western Balkans.

🌍 Over more than two decades, she has built deep expertise in EU policymaking, economic security, international trade, and geopolitical issues, having held various leadership and diplomatic positions in Stockholm, Brussels, and across Europe.

🎓 She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science, Economics, and European Law from Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich and speaks several European languages. Her contributions have been recognized with the Grand Cross of the Order of the Phoenix, awarded by the President of the Hellenic Republic.
